Phil Spector, Sans Wig, Moves to New Prison

Heeeere’s Phil — in his official 8 x 10 glossy from the California Department of Corrections — on his way to his new home at a state prison facility near Cochran, California.  He’ll stay there for the next 19 years.

So, THAT’S what he looks like without the pageboy or fright wig!

The Real Phil - 5' 5" In Stocking Feet

Spector is housed in a “sensitive-needs yard” at the prison — the largest prison by area in the state. It functions like a general population yard, Thornton said, “but it is for inmates with safety concerns, such as celebrities, gang dropouts or those whose crimes make them a target of other prisoners.”  via Phil Spector moved to California prison – CNN.com.

    Diane,

Stunning photo! I heard Phil has asked for three things and a spokesman for the prison said he probably would get them. An i-Pod, a computer and a TV. Hell, he is doing better than I am. Actually, I don’t need or want an i-Pod. At the gym, I get run into by people using i-Pods all the time. My theory that having one of your senses bombarded like that, dulls your other senses. I have to be very careful because of my legs. I need to watch them and their movements. Also, If I had one, I could not risk my natural lack of gracefulness with my not being able to hear.

I want a full recovery. If I was in prison, I might feel differently. Anyhow, Phil looks pathetic, but I believe justice was served. I hope Lana Clarkson’s family got some closure out of this. I’m assuming they will be filing a Civil Suit if they haven’t already. Perhaps they will have to put his wigs up for auction? Count me out.

    Sandy

    About Me

I’m a been-there-done-that reporter who has worked in all the media’s mediums: Radio, T.V., I wrote a book about what I learned covering the Michael Jackson child sex abuse saga and I’m currently writing a nationally syndicated newspaper column.

I have a freakish attachment to all things having to do with crime and justice, although I’ve covered all sorts of stories, including national politics in Washington – which I guess some might say is akin to covering crime. You'll see here I often mix the two.

Its human behavior that fascinates me most – why do we do the things we do to each other?

You’ve seen or heard my work on NPR, WCBS-TV, NBC, FOX, Court TV and on syndicated televisions programs like Hard Copy. See my full bio here: http://dianedimond.net/about/
