Claim: FBI Planting Spies in U.S. Mosques
Oh-oh. The FBI has pissed off some Muslim groups here in America. Seems to me if Muslim clerics would SERIOUSLY preach peace, brotherhood and tolerance to their followers (and to other radical Muslim clerics) the FBI wouldn’t find a need to recruit informants from the congregation.
I’m all about separation of church and state – but I want my FBI on the inside of potentially criminal enterprises.

Ten U.S. Muslim organizations threatened this week to cease working with the FBI, citing “McCarthy-era tactics” by the agency, including efforts to covertly infiltrate California mosques. The groups claim the FBI has sent undercover agents posing as worshippers into mosques, pressured Muslims to become informants, labeled civil rights advocates as criminals and spread misinformation.

Okay with you that the FBI does this? I mean, I guess they’ve been doing….wait! Without FBI confirmation how do we really know they’re doing it……!?

Many Muslim organizations do preach peace, brotherhood and tolerance. Many mosques have interfaith programs, and many Muslim leaders are outspoken in their criticism of fellow Muslims. As one example: A recent article in North Carolina’s News & Observer (http://www.newsobserver.com/news/story/1443391.html) profiles a Muslim state senator (Larry Shaw) who is critical of Hamas’s military actions.
Disagree. which sect of islam preaches and accepts equality of men and women? rejection of sharia? freedom to choose to openly practice any religion? (or not practice). The acceptance of the rule of law, above the law of the koran?
Please answer that. As you try to figure that out, you might learn something about islam

Dianne,Just found you and True/Slant. I couldn’t agree more.
It’s 8 years post 911 and we sill don’t have a clear picture on who the ‘good’ muslims are.
And it’s not like we haven’t been asking; yet everyone time we do ask we get resistance from groups like CAIR AND THE Arab anti-defamation league, and the lawsuits that were filed after the flying imams.
Why don’t the ‘good’ muslims stop hiding and help us?
