Sarah Palin will not ‘quit makin’ things up’
During her entertaining farewell speech, when she stepped down from her position as Governor of the state of Alaska, Sarah Palin chided the media, challenging them to “quit makin’ things up.” See the :58 second mark:
Well, it sure hasn’t taken Palin long to go rogue from her own advice. In a recent speech to pro-life Republicans, for instance, Palin made up a rather unusual controversy concerning the placement of the phrase “In God We Trust” on one dollar coins.
Later, Palin returned to another favorite bit of personal fiction, warning her Facebook followers yet again about those spooky “death panels” sneakily embedded within Democratic health care legislation. Never mind that this claim has been debunked by just about every news organization that can still afford a staff. Making things up is, after all, Palin’s primary stock and trade.
One can only imagine the storytelling we’ll be treated to in her forthcoming book.

As long as William Shatner stars in the audio version of “Going Rogue,” I’m willing to give it a shot.

As an investigative journalist with four decades of experience honing information-gathering skills so I can share as much of the
Truth as possible with my readers, I lose sleep every night over the lies told by influential individuals.
Learning the Truth about criminal prosecutions obviously plays a big role in overturning wrongful convictions, as discussed frequently in my T/S blog. But the lies disseminated by those outside the criminal justice system can be just as disturbing.
Perhaps some lies become part of the conversation because influentials don’t know how/where to locate the best evidence. To give a straightforward example about “best evidence,” if I tell you my age, why should you believe me? Where will you go to find the best evidence? Where my birth certificate is filed. If you already know where to locate another person’s birth certificate, you possess vital knowledge about documentation that places you on the path to Truth. If you have no idea how to locate a birth certificate (or other primary documents), then you are handicapped when it comes to learning the Truth, and you might believe a lot of lies.
