3 Social Networking Rules by Media Technologist Deanna Zandt
Social media consultant Deanna Zandt, author of Share This! How You Will Change the World with Social Networking shared three things you didn’t know about social networks to an audience at last night’s Catchafire event.
- Social networks are not about broadcast. People go to social networks to engage. They don’t want to be talked at, they want to be talked to.
- Size doesn’t matter. Relationships do. It’s more important to seek out targeted, engaged people and develop relationships with people who care.
- Storytelling is key. Our stories still matter. Technology is a means, not an end.
