No text-dumping in Canada

Well, it’s official. Because everyone was wondering, a global survey was conducted and the results are finally in: Canadians are the least likely people to dump someone via text message.

From the Toronto Star:

Canadians are the least likely to hide behind text messages to deliver bad news, a global survey on cellphone use says.

While 79 per cent of Canadians said they haven’t texted a “difficult” message, 49 per cent of Filipinos said they had. Across the 11 markets surveyed by Synovate, 31 per cent of cellphone users said they’ve lied about where they were via text. Twenty per cent had arranged a first date by cell texting and 12 per cent have dumped someone with a text message – although only 4 per cent of Canadians have in both cases.

So, there you go. Non-question answered.
