The absurdity, the myopia, the sheer "jack-ass" stubborness of the tainted left in not looking at continued facts, documented, "concrete"(pardon the pun) facts on the ground, is truly amazing. I had thought several months ago I was rather jaded by the left, in all their multi-cultural, communal benevolence. I felt that I would never be suprised by the inane, hypocritical, surreal diatribes which seem to make up the majority of liberal commentary. Wow, please allow me to eat my own words, with gusto...and hummus.

I haven't decided if it is just a learning impairment or if the left has pathological tunnel vision, and in all honesty...do we really need to know?

Photos of Gaza markets exploding with fresh procue, fruit, vegetables and the like defy the logic of the position of the left. Reading through the online menu for "the Roots Club", a restaurant in Gaza which caters to political elite and curiously enough UN beaurocrats tells me that someone is eating well in Gaza.

A story I heard several months ago:
"An elderly couple was visitng the zoo. As they walked past the Lion's Den, the husband tried to get a close-up picture of the lion. In doing so the Lion was able to get its mouth on the man and proceeded to drag him into the cage.

Several members of a visiting Israeli motorcycle club, wearing their club jackets were also in attendance at the zoo.

On hearing the screams from the Lion's cage they ran over. On seeing the situation, all three promptly dove at the lion through the bars. With two members punching and gouging at theeyes of the incensed lion, the leader of the group thrust both hands inside the lion's jaws, prying them open and freeing the elderly man, who apart from a few minor wounds, was none the less for wear.

It so happened that a writer for the New York Times was also visiting the zoo that day. On witnessing the events unfold , he approached the bikers. " I have to tell you", he cried out with amazement,"I have seen a lot of things in my reporting career, but that is without a doubt the most heroic thing I have ever seen any group of individuals do...ever!!!"

The bikers responded that it was the right thing to do and that they would gladly and willingly do it again.

As the reporter started taking down names, he noticed their jackets emblazened with the club's insignia. On pointing it out to the leader of the group, he indicated that they were a visitng motorcycle club.

On commenting that they spoke with an accent he did not recognize, the group pointed out that they were from Israel.

"Oh really" he responded."I want to let you know that this story is not going to ignored by the media..I am going to make sure it makes the front page of the New York Times tomorrow", he added with an encouraging smile.

He finished getting details and left the zoo. the next morning at the hotel, the leader rand down to the hotel gift shop to buy a morning paper. The reporter did not lie. There was the reporter's name under the headline story in big bold letters:

"ISRAELI MOTORCYCLE GANG ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT, STEALS LUNCH"

Facts are only the facts if they are seen through objective eyes.

Sir,

Apparently I need to speak to my wife, I haven't seen nutmeg in our house in , heck, must be at least 6 months...didn't realize that I was being "brutally oppressed."

Obviously as well, you need to be the one doing the training for the Tzahal. Why don't you take a small combat team of say, one (yourself that is) into Gaza City, and you can demonstrate your superior close combat techniques by live remote link to the CIC for Tzahal.

I am sure they will have no difficulty with dropping you off, or with picking up whatever remains for Kosher burial.

In some Islamic societies and cultures where violence is often seen after religious services (unique in the Abrahamic faiths), little emphasis is placed on self improvement, the betterment of society (the ‘real jihad,’ we are told) or humility. Rather, worshipers are whipped into a murderous frenzy directed at non members. Each week, the hate is elevated.

Funny, but I think I heard that from someone in the Aryan Nations, once. I love how you call me the bigot, but all that comes out of your mouth is a torrent of anti-Muslim hatred.

Why is it you seem not to care a whit about what goes on in Africa?

Because my tax dollars don't pay for it? I thought I was fairly clear about that.

This is about what's being done to people with my money.

Tell that to victims of Hamas terror and their families.

Terror isn't genocide. One rocket every couple of months isn't a genocide. A few acts of murder are not genocide. Those acts are reprehensible, criminal acts - but they're not genocide, and they don't justify brutal oppression excused by claims of existential threat.

Tell that to the average Israeli who has heard that Hamas ‘Promises to finish what Hitler started’.

But, of course, who do they hear that from? Why, from Hamas-enablers like yourself.

Tell that to the Israelis who are bombarded day and night with vicious and vile racism, bigotry and hate (none of which seems to bother you in the least. Real surprise there) in Palestinian media.

How can Palestine have any "media" when they don't even have electricity? Remember - newspapers are on the Israeli embargo list, too. (Huh, never knew rockets were made from newspapers and cinnamon.)

After all, we have not met so I won’t even hazard a guess as to what your deeper issues might be.

The only issues I have are with bullies who pick on the defenseless, and clearly Israel is the Middle East's biggest bully. But Hamas might be the second-biggest, which is why it's so disgusting to see you enable them. How about you stop, maybe?

Refreshing to see comments by someone that seems to be pro palestinian and not just anti Israel.

Unfortunately that doesn't make you right.

Hamas's power is a direct result of Israel's withdrawal from Gaza. Always popular and not restricted by the need to politically deliver, their anti-semitic genocidal retoric appeals to a Palestinian population that has been brainwashed for 2 generations to hate all Jews.

After the withdrawal, Hamas claimed, and was popularly credited with, winning the battle against Israel and forcing the IDF and the settlers out. As usual in this region, gestures that are made with a western mindset lead to different conclusions being reached by those who live there. This hugely strenthened Hamas's popularity and convinced many Palestinians that they could beat Israel militarily.

Now we have a situation where Israel has no choice. Goods cannot be allowed in unchecked. We know of at least two ships that were intercepted with weapons on board. Rebuilding material is known to have been commandeered by Hamas to build weapons.

As is almost always the case when any kind of sanctions are applied to a regime, the 'ruling class' are the last to suffer.

While I agree that many of Israel's actions are counterproductive and play into Hamas's hands, I have yet to hear a viable alternative that ensures Israel's security.

In the meantime while we wait for the solution to present itself, the Israeli people know that, contrary to the new and more and more prevelant narrative, that they are behaving in a morally upstanding way. Providing succour and aid to enemies commited to their destruction.

After years of lies and propoganda being eagerly believed and dissemenated by the MSM, the only opinion that matters to most Israelis is their own.

The Gaza agricultural infrastructure imploded long before the blockade. As I noted- and you ignored- Gazans destroyed their nascent agri business within days of the Israeli withdrawal.

Don't blame Palestinian failure and dysfunction on the Israelis. That is purely homegrown.

And these are the people you want to empower and give credibility.

The Aryan Nations folks would love you.

Mr Payne:

What does Israeli aid have to do with the Sudan, the Congo, Sierra Leonne, et al? It isn't as if Israeli are committing the atrocities!

Why is it you seem not to care a whit about what goes on in Africa? Are millions of black Africans not worthy of your attention or care? And why are so many black Africans willing to risk their lives trying to get to Israel?

I think I see a pattern here, Mr Payne.

You disapprove of the Israelis, apologize for Hamas and care not a damn for black Africans.

I think you answered my earlier question.

a) you are Jewish
b) one of your parents is Jewish.
c) some of your best friends are Jewish
d) your grandparents died in the Holocaust
e) your grandparents survived the Holocaust
f) some other reference to Jews.

You must be friends with Mr Payne.
