In Michigan of all places!
A Michigan House panel has voted to take $42 million from state funds designed to bolster tourism and create high-tech jobs, shifting the money elsewhere to help balance this year’s budget.
The House Appropriations Committee approved the bill on a 27-4 vote today. The money is being taken from the 21st Century Jobs Trust Fund.

Dude, I sincerely hope the money goes to education or health care. Otherwise, this is screwed up on too many levels to know where to start.

Dude, they are going to be using the money to create jobs. Not getting why you have a problem with this.
I think maybe you misread the excerpt. They’re taking money out of the 21st Century Jobs Trust Fund and tourism, and moving it into the general fund to bridge other budget shortfalls. What shortfalls, they don’t say. We all know how that goes sometimes…
