Shocking News: Blackwater Hates Islam

Blackwater Founder Implicated in Murder.

A former Blackwater employee and an ex-US Marine who has worked as a security operative for the company have made a series of explosive allegations in sworn statements filed on August 3 in federal court in Virginia. The two men claim that the company’s owner, Erik Prince, may have murdered or facilitated the murder of individuals who were cooperating with federal authorities investigating the company.

The former employee also alleges that Blackwater owner Erik Prince “views himself as a Christian crusader tasked with eliminating Muslims and the Islamic faith from the globe,” and that Prince’s companies “encouraged and rewarded the destruction of Iraqi life.”

Wow, so let me get this straight. Blackwater is an infamous private American corporation aimed at providing G.I. Joe-like mercernary ’soldiers of fortune’ to many of the world’s hottest war-torn regions, many deep within the heart of the Muslim world, like Iraq and Afghanistan.

Now, the founder of Blackwater, a former NAVY SEAL named Erik Prince who once campaigned for the presidential campaign of Pat Robertson and who’s father co-founded the Family Research Council (with Gary Bauer) was reported by a former employee as viewing “himself as a Christian crusader tasked with eliminating Muslims and the Islamic faith from the globe,” according to one of the sworn declarations of two ex-Blackwater whistle-blowers taken for pretrial motions for the federal court in Alexandria, Virginia.

So, Blackwater hates Islam and Muslims, pure and simple…Surprise, surprise…

The only thing that would be even slightly more surprising is if they played a stirring rendition of the 19th Century English hymn ”Onward, Christian Soldiers” before sending off their trigger-happy mercenaries off to kill the ‘hajjis‘ or more plain-spoken ‘ragheads’.

Man, if Blackwater feels this way about Islam, I can only shiveringly imagine what Dick ‘Don’t Call me Darth Vader’ Cheney and the boys at Halliburton think about us Muslims around the world.

According to a report I saw on MSNBC last night Erik Prince can be charged for murder in the state of Virginia (another state was mentioned but I don’t recall which it was). I assume that there will be a lot of pressure from the Christian Right to ensure that doesn’t happen. Do you know if any of the American Muslim groups are pressuring to ensure that justice is carried out here?

What’s even more profound than what Dick Vader actually thinks about ‘those Muslims’, is that powerful heads of major corporations and ex-veeps may actually think in terms of ‘those muslims’.

Generalizing a category like ‘Muslims’ is pretty adolescent. It’s also kind of ironic from those sources, considering that muslims are almost a theological mirror image of christians, who at the fringes are chomping at the bit of armageddon.

Thanks for flagging this issue, Arsalan.
Here’s what Erik Prince told the House government reform committee in 2007:
“A lot of people call us mercenaries. We are Americans, working for Americans.” His men, he said, are by nature patriots. “They bleed red, white and blue.”

    Best,
    Eileen
