Thanks for this, Allison.

I am an admirer of both of these men. I first became aware of Noam Chomsky nearly 20 years ago when he appeared on Pozner/Donahue http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfDdTpWSuX4.(there are six parts to this video on you tube)
Chomsky spoke about war, morality, media, and even HEALTH CARE REFORM!

Needless to say, I was hooked. I have since read many of his books and it is my opinion that he has been more right/correct than any person I know of. When people ask why something has come to be, in this nation, I always recommend that they go read some Chomsky. Chances are - he warned of it long before it came about.

From your post - "The same people who gushed about the virtues of the free market, and the “slam dunk” WMDs in Iraq, get to air their wrongness every Sunday, while the ones who were right — the pro-regulation, anti-war crowd, are shut out of the conversation entirely."

That one sentence says nearly all there is to say.

I would only add that, while the MSM's showing deference and respect for those who got everything wrong is bad, O and the D's rewarding the wrong with positions of power is much worse. The other guilty party here - the voters - must realize that there are more than 2 names on a ballot for most offices, and they need to demand that the word "change" come to mean more than "from R, to D, and back again."

Thanks again.
