Grbesq,

You sad, scared, internally inconsistent little thing! Thank goodness you lack a level of self-awareness to realize that you simultaneously tout America's "history of tolerance," while demonstrating your own bigotry and intolerance.

Forgive me if I disagree with your cultural analysis. Ms. Muhammad is not trying to change America's customs, traditions, or legal system. She's asking to have her beliefs reasonably accommodated by a system premised upon the protection of individual liberties. Please don't confuse your fear of that which is different than yourself with a defense of American values.

Welcome to stealth jihad, a calculated assault on our customs, traditions and legal system. These aliens are deliberately chipping away at all we hold dear, taking advantage of our history of tolerance. Mohammadans consider themselves superior to us and expect... demand... that we kowtow to their groupthink culture.

I think this is a very difficult issue. On the one hand, you have to respect religious beliefs. On the other hand, it seems like part of the point of requiring witnesses to "appear" is so the judge and jury can get a read on the truthfulness of the witness.

Maybe I spent too much time watching Lie to Me with Tim Roth, but it seems like there is a lot of credibility issues you one can read on a person's face.

Maybe this just ends up being like playing poker with sunglasses on. It's not illegal, but it's not right.
